This prep book for the AP-exams was published in 2004 but that doesn't matter. The subject, just as math, hardly advanced since then. I always wonder why authors of books like this think they have to repeat what they already had put together in the original text book, in this case "Stats Modeling the World". They should write those books in a better way, so that they can concentrate on the more important part how to get through the exams. Luckily this book provides four examples of exams, and they come with answers that include explanations. However, the explanations could have been more detailed. References to the first part of the book or the textbook should be included.
The authors remark in their introduction that calculators are an important device for the exam, preferably graphing calculators, but they don't explain why they chose only one calculator, the TI-83, as a model. All explanations are based on this calculator. Whoever owns a different, mostly cheaper one, is left out.
